Sulhamstead Group History

1986

Following the closure of the 2nd Mortimer Scout Group the remaining cubs joined the Burghfield group and one or two parents started a beaver colony in Sulhamstead. Over the years a cub pack started followed by a scout troop and finally we had our own Venture scout unit.The group flourished over the time.

1998

The Venture scouts went on an expedition to the Canadian Rockies as part of their Queens scout award training.

1999

Six venture scouts completed their Queens Scout award.

2000

Simon Pickett took over from Peter Hobbs as GSL.
